Fishers Community Center Introduces Insurance-Funded Memberships

The Fishers Community Center (FCC), supported by IU Health, has introduced insurance-based memberships, making it simpler for qualifying residents to maintain an active and healthy lifestyle. The new Adult Memberships, funded through select health insurance plans, became available on Monday, 9 February, allowing participants to access the facility without paying monthly or joining fees directly.

“This initiative removes financial barriers to wellness and allows more people to experience everything our facility has to offer,” said FCC Director Mike Lindbloom. “From fitness and aquatics to social engagement and mental wellbeing, our mission is to help every member of the community thrive.”

The insurance-based memberships encompass the same benefits as regular FCC memberships, providing full access to the 105,000 square-foot facility, which opened last autumn off Hoosier Road. Members can enjoy:

A comprehensive fitness centre with state-of-the-art equipment

More than 90 group exercise classes each week

Aquatics facilities, including an on-deck sauna

Sports courts for basketball, volleyball, and pickleball

Exclusive member-only spaces

Additionally, FCC offers unique public amenities, including the city’s first indoor walking track, Sahm’s Community Café, and a two-storey indoor playground, strengthened by Riley Children’s Health. The facility also houses the Fishers Health Department clinic, offering vaccinations for COVID-19, influenza, travel purposes, testing, and other preventive care services.
