Five Killed as Train Collides with Autorickshaw in Cox’s Bazar

Tragedy struck today in Cox’s Bazar when five passengers, including four members of a single family, lost their lives after a train collided with their CNG-run autorickshaw at the Dhalirchara rail crossing in Rashidnagar Union, Ramu Upazila.

Details of the Incident

The tragic collision occurred around 1:30 pm when the Dhaka-bound Cox’s Bazar Express train struck the autorickshaw at the rail crossing.

According to Taibur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Ramu Police Station:

“The train dragged the autorickshaw for nearly one kilometre after impact.”

This devastating accident has left the local community in shock as authorities continue investigations.
