Raj Ripa, a prominent actress in contemporary Dhakai cinema, has frequently made headlines due to various incidents. Her latest film, “Moyna”, was recently released, adding to her growing public attention.
However, prior to the release of another film, “Mukti”, the actress made explosive allegations against director Iftikhar Chowdhury. Amidst this controversy, she also announced her intention to step away from the media industry out of frustration.
In response, actress Afiya Nusrat Barsha shared a heartfelt message on social media directed at Raj Ripa: “Dreams may be buried, but do not bury the dreams that are alive yet out of reach. The decisions of your life are yours to make. For those who have no one, Allah is there.”
Barsha acknowledged the challenges of life in the media industry: “I know well the harsh lives that some endure here, including yours. Think about me—if I wanted, I could invest in a film myself, but I no longer find joy in these things.”
She offered advice to navigate the difficulties of the industry: “This colourful life isn’t really meant for kind-hearted and gentle women, Ripa. Those with thick skins, who remain unaffected by hundreds of harsh comments, are the ones who survive well. Reflect on this—you know what works and what doesn’t. Pray, and may Allah bring peace to your heart.”
Barsha also commented on Raj Ripa’s upcoming film: “I attended the Mahurat of your movie Mukti and was surprised—it hasn’t finished shooting yet? If I’m not mistaken, the Mahurat was held in October or December 2020. Start anew, with fresh dreams, and relearn how to live. Losing is not the solution. My prayers are with you. You have plenty of time left—reimagine yourself. Don’t call yourself a fool; you haven’t failed. Failure lies with those who cannot keep their promises.”
This message serves as both emotional support and encouragement, emphasising resilience, faith, and the importance of self-belief even in the face of industry challenges.
