  • Of the 25 board members, 12 come from club cricket.
  • 10 members are elected from divisional and regional levels.

Following the election of board directors, the BCB President will be selected through a vote among the elected directors.

This election has seen several prominent figures announce their candidacy for director positions:

  • Tamim Iqbal – heavyweight candidate; likely to contest for BCB President.
  • Current President Aminul Islam Bulbul – heavyweight candidate seeking re-election as President.
  • Former President Faruk Ahmed – may contest against the above candidates.

The stage is now set for a highly competitive BCB election, which could potentially reshape the governance of cricket in Bangladesh.
