Government transfers 158 UNOs simultaneously across the country

The government has simultaneously transferred a total of 158 Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) across eight divisions of the country. A notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday night.

The notification stated that the officials must be released from their current workplaces and join their new postings by 30 November. If they fail to join within the stipulated time, they will be considered relieved from their present posts effective 30 November.

It was further mentioned that if the transferred officials have already had their offices or workplaces changed, they must submit their joining letters mentioning the name and address of their current workplaces. This order, issued in the public interest, will come into effect immediately.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, the government appointed new UNOs in 166 upazilas. Before that, in the afternoon, police superintendents of 64 districts were transferred simultaneously.
