Hajj Registration Fees Can Be Deposited in 33 Banks

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has released a list of 33 banks authorised to collect funds for the pre-registration and registration of Hajj pilgrims.

The announcement was issued on 13 August 2025 by the Hajj-2 Division of the Ministry, with the notification signed by Deputy Secretary Md. Rafiqul Islam.

Guidelines

  • Transfer of Funds: Pre-registration fees must be transferred to Sonali Bank every 30 days as per the bank’s designated procedure.
  • Restrictions on Loans: No Hajj agency may be granted loans against a pilgrim’s registration fees.
  • Designated Use: All funds collected for initial registration or registration must remain in the agency’s designated bank account. These funds cannot be used or transferred to any other purpose or account without prior approval from the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
  • Compliance: The Hajj and Umrah Management Regulations 2022 (Amended) must be strictly followed.

The Ministry emphasised that all procedures regarding Hajj registration fees must be transparent and adhere strictly to the authorised regulations, ensuring proper management of pilgrims’ funds.
