Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Foreign Affairs Adviser, Humayun Kabir, has emphasised that the administration must execute its duties with full rigor to maintain law and order, leaving no room for unlawful actions. He called for an immediate cessation of harassing or politically motivated lawsuits, warning that anyone attempting to misuse party influence to file cases will face strict action.

Speaking on Friday, 13 March, at the Sylhet Circuit House during a meeting with administrative officers and local political leaders, Humayun Kabir stressed that no compromise would be tolerated in upholding public order in Sylhet. “The administration must perform its responsibilities according to the law. The government will provide complete support for lawful enforcement,” he said.

On the subject of development in Sylhet, Kabir assured that the government is committed to securing the maximum possible budget for the city’s progress. “To bring Sylhet forward on the path of development, the government is working earnestly to ensure all necessary resources and support,” he stated.

The meeting was attended by a number of prominent officials and political representatives, demonstrating coordination between the government and local authorities.
