BEL AIR, Md., 15 January 2026 — Harford Mutual Insurance Group (HMIG) has announced that it donated nearly $600,000 to more than 90 nonprofit and charitable organisations throughout 2025, reinforcing its longstanding commitment to supporting the communities it serves.
Through its HMIG Gives Back Program, the company directed funds towards initiatives promoting health, human services, and community enrichment. This philanthropic focus underscores Harford Mutual’s dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of those across its regional footprint.
The most substantial contributions in 2025 were awarded to organisations including the Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford and Cecil Counties, Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna, Harford Family House, The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region, University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health Foundation, and United Way of Central Maryland.
Harford Mutual also responded swiftly to natural disasters impacting local communities. Following severe weather in Kentucky, the company donated $20,000 to the Team Kentucky Storm Relief Fund, and contributed $10,000 to the Western Maryland Strong Fund to aid flood relief efforts.
In addition to these direct donations, more than $92,000 was distributed via the HMIG Community Fund, managed in partnership with the Community Foundation of Harford County. Beneficiaries included Anna’s House, The Harford Center, and the Harford Community College Foundation. Additional charitable contributions were facilitated through HMIG’s Employee Match Program and the Flagship Agency Grant Program, which awards $1,000 grants to nonprofits selected by the company’s Flagship agencies.
Harford Mutual employees demonstrated remarkable commitment to community service, volunteering nearly 700 hours collectively across various organisations in 2025.
