Imran and Naomi Reunite After Nine Years

After nearly nine years apart, celebrated Bangladeshi singer Imran Mahmudul and acclaimed vocalist Jarin Tasnim Naomi have reunited, generating excitement among fans and music enthusiasts alike. Their collaboration, both on stage and in the recording studio, has rekindled fond memories for Bangladesh’s music lovers, bridging a gap that began in the early days of their careers. Both artists first rose to prominence through popular reality music shows—Channel i’s Shreshtho Kontho and Khude Gaanraj.

The duo’s initial collaboration was for the soundtrack of the film Hridoyer Simana. They later released the hit single Onomona in 2015, which featured lyrics by Jahid Akbar, composition and arrangement by Imran Mahmudul, and a music video directed by Sakhawat Manik. Recently returned from Canada, Naomi visited Bangladesh to record new material with Imran. The recording session took place on 21 February 2026 at Imran Mahmudul’s personal studio. While the title of their new song remains unannounced, anticipation among fans is already intense.

Reflecting on the reunion, Imran Mahmudul stated:

“After such a long time, Naomi’s return to the country is a joy. Coordinating schedules these days is not easy, so creating music with her is a special experience. Recording this new song in Bangladesh at Imran’s invitation has been a wonderful experience. I look forward to creating more music together and, if possible, producing a music video in Canada as well.”
