Nasiruddin Patowary, the chief coordinator of the National Citizens Party (NCP), has stated that a new political alliance may be announced soon ahead of the upcoming election.
He shared this information at a press conference on Monday (25 November) night, following a meeting with nomination seekers at the party’s temporary office in Banglamotor, the capital.
Nasiruddin Patowary said that a new political alliance is coming very soon. This alliance, which stands against religious fascism and extortion, will field candidates in all 300 constituencies.
He further stated that within a few days, the people of the country will witness another new alliance formed outside the BNP–Jamaat, which will work to fulfil the aspirations of the July mass uprising.
He added that the country will see a new alliance—one that supports reform, stands for women, supports Islamic scholars, and opposes corruption, terrorism, and extortion.
At the event, the party’s chief organiser for the southern region, Hasnat Abdullah, alleged that India and the Awami League are attempting to derail the election using the Jatiya Party. He said there are ongoing attempts to obstruct the election and destabilise the country.
He noted that the economic forces aligned with India and the Awami League will try to obstruct the election and destabilise the country through the Jatiya Party.
NCP leaders also urged political parties to move away from the mentality of administrative power-sharing after the July uprising.
Earlier, a two-day consultation meeting was held with nomination seekers, followed by this press conference.
