Iranian Missiles Spark Panic Across Israel

Iran has launched its tenth round of missile strikes on Israel, triggering widespread fear across the nation. Even residents seeking refuge in bunkers and protected shelters report little sense of safety, as the attacks intensify.

The situation is particularly alarming in the occupied West Bank, where civilians face extreme vulnerability. Unlike central Israel, the region lacks a Home Front alert system, air raid alarms, or officially designated shelters, leaving residents exposed to potential devastation.

According to media reports, while Iran carried out limited attacks during the early hours of Sunday night, the intensity increased sharply from Monday morning, with heavy bombardments reported across multiple areas. Loud explosions have echoed through cities, although it remains unclear whether these sounds result from intercepted missiles or direct impacts within Israeli territory.

One of the most significant attacks occurred on Sunday near West Jerusalem, targeting a secure shelter in the city of Beit Shemesh. Preliminary reports indicate at least nine fatalities, with several others injured.

Analysts note that, compared to the Iran-Israel conflict in June of last year, a greater number of Israelis are now forced to remain in shelters for extended periods. While the total number of missiles launched may not be higher than previous conflicts, civilians are frequently spending up to three hours at a time in bunkers, highlighting the severity and psychological impact of Iran’s continued attacks. Even these fortified shelters no longer provide the sense of security they once did.

The escalation is widely viewed as Iran’s retaliatory response to perceived aggression by the United States and Israel. Iranian forces have targeted installations connected to American interests across the Middle East, including in Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, intensifying regional tensions.

Recent Iranian Missile Strikes Overview

Date Time Target Location Casualties Remarks
28 Feb 2026 Night West Jerusalem Limited Initial strikes, lower intensity
29 Feb 2026 Morning onwards Multiple cities ≥9 dead, many injured Beit Shemesh shelter hit directly
Ongoing Various Military & Civil areas Numerous injured Even bunkers fail to provide full protection

Security experts warn that the conflict shows no signs of abating. Civilians in Israel continue to face the constant threat of missile strikes, and the escalating retaliation may further destabilize the already volatile Middle East region.

The intensity and scope of Iran’s attacks underscore a growing pattern of targeting both strategic military installations and areas connected to U.S. interests, marking a significant escalation in the ongoing regional conflict.
