Iran’s Military Threatens Aggressors With Extreme Measures

Tehran has issued a stern warning in response to growing hostile rhetoric from adversaries, declaring that any continuation of such threats will not go unanswered. Iran’s military chief has explicitly stated that aggressors could face severe consequences, including the symbolic threat of having their hands severed.

Speaking on Wednesday to cadets of the 86th course at the Command and Staff University of the Iranian Army, Major General Amir Hatami, the head of Iran’s armed forces, delivered a forceful message emphasising the country’s readiness to defend its sovereignty.

Describing the current global landscape as an effort to establish a “new world order,” General Hatami stated that the interference of global powers has created widespread regional instability and security crises.

He linked the decline of the Ottoman Empire and the establishment of Israel to what he termed Western conspiracies, adding that former US President Joe Biden had remarked following the Al-Aqsa flood operation that Israel would have to be re-established if it did not exist. General Hatami argued that this demonstrates why Western powers continue to support Israel despite repeated transgressions, as the state serves as a strategic proxy for the West.

Highlighting Iran’s strategic position and the principles of the Islamic Revolution, he warned that enemies are now targeting Iran’s national power resources. He clarified that domestic protests regarding living standards have no connection to foreign leaders or policies, praising Iranian citizens for maintaining restraint and distancing themselves from unrest linked to external agendas.

General Hatami also claimed that in a 12-day intensive operation, Iran’s army, the IRGC, and law enforcement agencies, supported by civilians, achieved a historic victory. He emphasised that Iran’s armed forces are now better prepared than ever, and any miscalculation by adversaries would result in severe consequences. He reiterated that the military is fully committed to protecting national independence, territorial integrity, and the political system, pledging his own life to ensure the security of every Iranian citizen.

General Hatami’s statements underscore Tehran’s resolve to deter aggression and maintain national security, sending a clear signal to regional and global actors regarding Iran’s readiness to respond decisively.
