Israel Restricts Aid into Gaza, Violates Ceasefire and Continues Attacks

Despite the ceasefire, Israel has blocked the majority of humanitarian aid from entering the besieged Gaza Strip. In addition, Israeli forces are continuing attacks across Gaza, violating the agreement. This information was reported by the Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera.

Although a ceasefire agreement was mediated by the United States last month, Israel continues to obstruct humanitarian aid. Compared to the wartime period, aid delivery has slightly increased, but due to Israeli restrictions, people in Gaza are still facing shortages of food, water, medicine, and other essential supplies.

In a statement on Saturday, Gaza’s official media office said that from October 10 to 31, a total of 3,203 commercial and aid trucks entered Gaza. According to the agreement, 600 trucks were supposed to enter daily, but currently only an average of 145 trucks are being allowed. The statement further condemned Israel’s occupation.

Israel is responsible for the humanitarian crisis affecting over 2.4 million people in the territory. Meanwhile, Israeli forces continue to attack across Gaza in violation of the ceasefire. On Saturday, airstrikes, artillery, and tank fire hit Khan Yunis in southern Gaza. Residential buildings in the eastern part of the Jabaliya refugee camp in northern Gaza were also destroyed.

Eyewitnesses reported that buildings and farmland beyond the so-called yellow line are being destroyed through shelling and drone attacks.
