Hummam Kader Chowdhury, member of BNP’s Central Executive Committee and the party’s nominee for Chattogram-7 (Rangunia) in the upcoming 13th national parliamentary election, said, “I have long thought that my fortune is good. Inshallah, one day I will go to Parliament and sit alongside Tarique Rahman. Today I can say that there is an Allah above who has carefully looked after my fortune. It will be my fortune to represent Rangunia and sit in Parliament alongside Begum Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman.”
After receiving the BNP nomination, Hummam Kader paid floral tribute on Tuesday (4 November) at the first memorial of the late President Ziaur Rahman in Zia Nagar, Rangunia. Later, he exchanged greetings with party leaders and workers at his residence in Kadernagar.
During the event, Hummam Kader Chowdhury added, “It is unfortunate that Salauddin Kader Chowdhury cannot witness this day. I want to assure you that as long as I live, I will follow the path shown by the late Salauddin Kader Chowdhury, Inshallah.”
He further said, “There are many leaders in Rangunia. Earlier, there were some differences among us. However, following the instructions of our acting chairman Tarique Rahman, there are no longer any groupings. We will all work together in support of the Dhanshish symbol.”
