Jahangirnagar University (JU) has tentatively scheduled the undergraduate first-year admission test for the 2025–26 academic session to take place in the last week of December 2025, according to a decision by the university’s Central Admission Test Committee.

The decision was made during a committee meeting held on Tuesday, 7 October, as confirmed by Syed Mohammad Ali Reza, Deputy Registrar (Academic) of the university.

A special committee has been formed under the leadership of Professor Mahfuzur Rahman, Pro–Vice-Chancellor (Academic). This committee will be responsible for coordinating all ancillary matters related to the admission test, ensuring that the process is conducted smoothly and efficiently.

Professor Mahfuzur Rahman, who also serves as the Chairperson of the Central Admission Test Committee, stated that the preliminary decision has been made to hold the admission test in the final week of December 2025.

Professor Rahman added that no final decisions have yet been made regarding:

  • Any changes to the unit-based examination format.

These matters will be deliberated and finalised by the Central Admission Test Committee in due course.
