The upcoming Abu Dhabi T10 League has become even more intriguing for Bangladeshi fans, as another national star has confirmed participation. After Shakib Al Hasan and Saif Hassan, speedster Taskin Ahmed has officially secured a place in the tournament, strengthening Bangladesh’s presence in the shortest international cricket format.
This edition sees the inclusion of a brand-new franchise—Royal Champs. Even before the draft began, they signed Bangladesh’s biggest cricketing name, Shakib Al Hasan. The franchise has built a star-studded squad featuring the likes of Angelo Mathews and Jason Roy. With such a line-up, expectations are naturally high.
The draft also brought good news for Saif Hassan, who was snapped up by Aspen Stallions from Category B. His current form has been outstanding, and he is expected to join his new team shortly. Over the last few months, Saif has shown consistency and maturity—traits that make him a valuable T10 asset.
Meanwhile, young fast bowler Nahid Rana, who was initially selected from Category C, will not feature in the competition after failing to receive the required No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Bangladesh Cricket Board. His absence is seen as an unfortunate setback, as he had been expected to gain valuable franchise experience.
Just days before the tournament begins, it was officially confirmed through social media that Taskin Ahmed will participate in this year’s T10 League. Taskin’s inclusion is being viewed as a significant boost for the pace department of his team. Having recently regained rhythm after injury setbacks, Taskin has been performing strongly for Bangladesh across formats.
