Gulam Kibria, the member secretary of the Pallabi Thana unit of Jubo Dal, was shot dead by armed miscreants. The information was confirmed by Aminul Haque, convener of Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP, at around 7:30 pm on Monday (17 November). However, he could not immediately specify who shot him.
Aminul Haque stated that Kibria, critically injured by gunfire, was taken to Sohrawardy Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Following the killing of Kibria, tension has spread across Pallabi, Mirpur and the surrounding areas.
