The 14-time Grammy Award winner Lady Gaga has utilised her global platform to deliver a searing indictment of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), specifically highlighting the escalating violence in Minnesota. Performing at the Tokyo Dome on 29 January 2026, the pop icon paused her Mayhem Ball Tour to address the political crisis currently unfolding across the Atlantic.

Seated at her piano, “Mother Monster” transitioned from her high-octane setlist to a sombre, heartfelt monologue. “In a couple of days, I’m heading home, and my heart is aching thinking about the people, the children, and the families who are being mercilessly targeted,” Gaga told the capacity crowd. She expressed a particular affinity for the communities in Minneapolis, which have become the flashpoint of a national outcry following a series of fatal enforcement operations.
