Sudden Closure and Customer Chaos

On Saturday evening, Flight Expert suddenly ceased operations, sparking widespread confusion and distress among:

  • Ticketing agencies
  • Thousands of customers

Many of these individuals had made advance payments for bookings.

At the company’s Motijheel office, large crowds gathered in search of answers. Most of them were representatives from supplier companies and travel agencies, demanding clarity regarding the status of their purchased tickets. However, the majority left disappointed and without resolution.

Allegations of Escape and Refund Fraud

Multiple internal sources claimed that the owners abruptly shut down the business and left the country, throwing into uncertainty the recovery of crores of taka owed to customers and suppliers.

Additionally, there are allegations that Flight Expert did not procure tickets directly from airlines. Instead, it relied on two intermediary agencies to secure tickets. Now, it is being claimed that these two agencies are initiating refunds on previously purchased tickets, thereby recovering funds while customers remain uncompensated.
