The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has forecast light drizzle across the country, including Dhaka, within the next 24 hours. The department has also indicated that both daytime and night-time temperatures may decrease.
The forecast was issued on Monday (1 December) by meteorologist Kh. Shahinul Islam of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
According to the Met Office, by 6 pm on Tuesday, light or drizzling rain may occur in parts of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. During this period, night-time temperatures may rise slightly, while daytime temperatures may fall marginally.
From 6 pm on Tuesday (2 December) to the following 24 hours, the weather is expected to remain dry with partly cloudy skies across the country. Light fog may develop in parts of the north-eastern region during the early morning. Night-time temperatures may drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged.
From 6 pm on Wednesday (3 December) to the next 24 hours, dry weather with partly cloudy skies is likely across the country, with both day and night temperatures expected to fall slightly.
The same pattern is expected from 6 pm on Thursday (4 December), with dry conditions and partly cloudy skies countrywide. Light fog may appear in the north-eastern areas during dawn. Night-time temperatures may decline slightly, while daytime temperatures may remain almost unchanged.
From 6 pm on Friday (5 December) and throughout the next 24 hours, partly cloudy skies and dry weather may persist across the country, with light fog possible in north-eastern areas at dawn. Both day and night temperatures are likely to remain nearly stable.
