Liton and Shanto’s Squad Begin Practice in Sylhet with 21 Players

From 6 August to 17 August, the Bangladesh cricket team conducted a training session at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, primarily attended by players in the preliminary squads for the upcoming Netherlands series and the Asia Cup. After completing their practice in Dhaka, the players arrived in Sylhet last night.

From today (Wednesday), Liton Das’ team will commence the second phase of training at Sylhet, continuing until 26 August. There will be two daily practice sessions:

A total of 21 players will participate in the national team camp. Match scenarios will be conducted on 24 and 25 August, and on 26 August, the squad will be divided into two groups to play a practice match. Additionally, 6–7 players will remain outside the camp. Once the final squad for the Netherlands series is announced, the remaining players will leave Sylhet.

The Netherlands team is scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on 26 August to play a three-match T20 series in Sylhet. The matches are scheduled as follows:

This series will serve as a key preparation platform for Bangladesh ahead of the Asia Cup.
