According to an official statement from the board, this is a high-impact, short-term assignment designed to fine-tune the national squad’s death-bowling capabilities. Malinga’s tenure commenced on 15 December 2025 and is scheduled to conclude on 25 January 2026, ensuring the pace unit receives elite mentorship just as the global showpiece begins.
