Grammy-winning singer Megan Trainor is once again capturing global attention—this time not solely for her music. The 32-year-old pop sensation, renowned for chart-topping hits such as All About That Bass and Dear Future Husband, has stunned fans with an inspiring story of personal transformation and health triumph. During her second pregnancy, Megan was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, a condition that prompted her to shed approximately 60 pounds, or nearly 27 kilograms, through careful lifestyle changes.
Reflecting on her journey, Megan revealed, “I realised that if I truly wanted to enjoy every moment of life, continue touring, and raise my children in the healthiest way possible, I had to take control of my own health first. My goal was to become strong both physically and mentally.”
A devoted mother to two young children—four-year-old Riley and two-year-old Barry—Megan has been striking a balance between family life, motherhood, and maintaining her own wellbeing alongside husband Daryl Sabara. She emphasised, “I am extremely mindful of my hormones and overall health. It’s something I take very seriously.”
Born in Nantucket, Massachusetts, Megan began writing songs at the tender age of eleven. Initially focusing on songwriting and performing her own compositions, she eventually gained international acclaim as a performer, turning her talent into a global phenomenon.
While Megan’s remarkable transformation has been widely celebrated, she has not escaped public scrutiny. “Seeing my transformation for the first time was incredible, but hearing so many negative comments all at once was shocking,” she admitted. She has since managed criticism through therapy and her music, with her latest single, STOOL Don’t Care, exploring themes of self-discovery and emotional resilience.
Together with Daryl, Megan now prioritises health and fitness, adhering to medical guidance and a structured routine. Her regimen includes visiting the gym three times a week, following a balanced diet, and moderating coffee consumption—practices that underscore her commitment to wellbeing.
“I feel genuinely amazing now,” Megan shared. “I’ve learned to love myself, and there’s no shame in saying that.” Her candour, discipline, and self-love not only inspire fans but also deliver a powerful message: even amidst life’s challenges, personal transformation is entirely possible.
