In South Florida, Lionel Messi is asserting his presence not only on the football pitch but also in the luxurious skyline of Brickell, Miami. The Argentine legend has recently purchased four opulent condominiums at the Cipriani Residences, an 80-storey tower under construction in the city’s central district. This latest acquisition further cements Messi’s ties with Miami.

Last year, Messi also acquired a residence at the Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach, signalling his long-term commitment to South Florida. Since joining Inter Miami in 2023 from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Messi’s presence in the region has been both athletic and increasingly residential. According to his current contract, he is expected to remain with Inter Miami until 2028, and recent developments suggest he has no immediate plans to leave the city.

Messi has secured four top-floor units in the Cipriani tower, with one unit reportedly valued at $7.5 million. Each unit in the building starts at $1.7 million. The tower, designed from the ground up by Mast Capital with architectural input from Arquitectonica and interiors by 1508 London, will offer panoramic 360-degree views of Miami and Biscayne Bay. One of Messi’s units is believed to span approximately 3,500 square feet with four bedrooms. Privacy, a priority for the football superstar, is guaranteed in this exclusive development.

Messi’s Existing South Florida Residences

Messi also owns a 10,500-square-foot waterfront mansion in Fort Lauderdale, purchased for $1.7 million, located near Inter Miami’s training facility. This estate features eight bedrooms, nine bathrooms, two docks, a 170-foot waterfront, swimming pool, 1,600-square-foot master suite, spa, entertainment lounge, and office space, designed by Loris Morris.

At Sunny Isles Beach, Messi owns a unit in the Porsche Design Tower, notable for its automated car elevator, allowing vehicles to park directly beside living spaces—a rare amenity for residents.

Strategic Investment or Permanent Home?

It remains unclear whether Messi will personally occupy all Cipriani units or view them as investment properties. Nevertheless, the value of South Florida luxury condos has recently increased, and Messi’s growing real estate footprint indicates a long-term commitment to Miami. Factors such as proximity to Argentina, Latin American cultural connections, high-quality private schools, and favourable climate make Miami particularly attractive.

Since joining Inter Miami, Messi has also contributed to the city’s emergence as a football hub, increasing ticket sales and boosting the club’s brand. From Fort Lauderdale waterfront estates to Sunny Isles’ sky garages and now Brickell penthouses, Messi is rapidly establishing a significant real estate empire in South Florida—a blend of lifestyle, business acumen, and long-term investment.
