Microbus Collision Causes Fire in CNG, One Passenger Killed

A passenger tragically died when a microbus collided with a CNG (auto-rickshaw), causing a fire that completely engulfed the vehicle in Kalihati, Tangail. The incident occurred around 11:30 AM on Tuesday at the Nagarbari area of the Tangail-Tarakandi road.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed, but the injured CNG driver, Shanto, was rescued and admitted to Tangail General Hospital.

According to locals, a microbus collided with the CNG from behind, causing an immediate fire that consumed the vehicle. Firefighters from Bhuiyanpur and Elenga reached the scene quickly and were able to bring the fire under control.

Bhuiyanpur Fire Service leader Mohammad Swapan Ali said, “After the microbus hit the CNG, a cylinder exploded, spreading the fire. While we managed to control the flames, one passenger tragically died at the scene.”
