Millionaire Riyad Sacrifices Tk 2.5 Lakh Cow for Eid

This year, during the Eid-ul-Adha celebrations, newly-established millionaire and local coordinator Abdur Razzak Solaiman Riyad sacrificed a cow worth Tk 2.5 lakh.

Many residents of his locality expressed astonishment, questioning: “How did the son of a rickshaw puller become a millionaire so suddenly?”

Riyad hails from the Bepari Bari on the southern side of Nabipur Bazar, located in Ward 4 of Nabipur Union, Senbagh Thana, Noakhali District. He is the grandson of a rickshaw puller named Oli Ullah and the son of another rickshaw puller, Abu Raihan.

Despite this humble background, Riyad has now distanced himself significantly from his past. Just a year ago, his family was grappling with severe financial hardship. Today, he is being labelled as a ‘newly-minted millionaire’ in the area.

Some local administrative officials have suggested that an investigation should be launched into the sudden source of Riyad’s newfound wealth.

Incident Report:
On Saturday, 26th July, Riyad was reportedly caught attempting to extort money in the Gulshan area of Dhaka, according to local sources.

It has also been alleged that Riyad has used the money earned through extortion over the past year to construct a large building in his hometown.
