Renowned contemporary singer Mitali Das has lent her voice to a fresh musical release titled “Chokhete Chokh”. The song, penned and composed by Abhi Moinuddin, features music arrangement by KH Ripon, while the accompanying music video has been directed by Suhel Ahmed.

The video was shot across a selection of picturesque locations in Sylhet, capturing the region’s natural charm and adding a romantic backdrop to the song’s theme. Timed for Valentine’s Day, the track was officially released on Thursday, 12 February, on Mitali Das’s personal YouTube channel, ‘Mitali’s Mirror’.

Speaking about the song, Mitali Das shared, “When I first heard the lyrics and melody from Abhi Dada, they immediately resonated with me. The music arrangement was completed in Ripon Bhai’s studio in Sylhet. Finally, the song is out, and I believe it will gradually reach and touch the hearts of our listeners.”

Abhi Moinuddin, the songwriter and composer, added that he originally wrote the song in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, a period marked by isolation and introspection. The song reflects subtle emotions of love and connection, making it especially fitting for the Valentine’s Day release.

The collaborative effort has drawn attention for its harmonious blend of lyrics, melody, and visual storytelling, highlighting the talents of both emerging and established contributors in the Bangladeshi music scene. Fans have already started sharing their appreciation on social media, praising Mitali’s emotive rendition and the song’s lyrical depth.
