Mobile Phone Use Banned in All Educational Institutions in Chattogram

The Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Mirsharai, Chattogram, Somaiya Akter, has issued strict directives, including a complete ban on mobile phone use in all educational institutions within the upazila.

The announcement was made public through a notice issued by the Upazila administration on Sunday, 5 October.

The notice outlines the following rules for students, staff, and faculty:

Directive Details
Mobile Phone and Electronic Devices Students are prohibited from using mobile phones or any electronic devices within the educational premises.
Attendance Any student absent for more than five consecutive days without valid reason must have their absence reported in writing to the head of the institution.
Substance Abuse All teachers, students, and staff must completely abstain from drugs.
Behavioural Restrictions Strict prohibitions against teen gangs, eve-teasing, sexual harassment, and child marriage.
Conduct within Premises Any indecent behaviour, gestures, or acts, as well as recording or sharing photos or videos, is strictly forbidden inside or within the grounds of educational institutions.

UNO Somaiya Akter stated that these measures aim to ensure a disciplined, safe, and drug-free environment within all educational institutions in Mirsharai.

She emphasised that maintaining order, security, and ethical conduct is essential for fostering a positive and safe learning atmosphere for students and staff alike.

These strict guidelines represent a significant step toward creating safer and more disciplined educational environments in Chattogram, addressing both behavioural and technological concerns within schools, colleges, and other institutions.
