Multiple Cocktail Explosions at Gulistan Zero Point

Several crude bomb explosions occurred at Gulistan Zero Point, one of the busiest areas in the capital, on Tuesday (11 November) shortly after 9:30 p.m. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported.

According to eyewitnesses, the blasts took place near the western island adjacent to the General Post Office (GPO). They stated that unidentified individuals threw the explosive devices from a moving motorcycle before fleeing the scene. The sudden explosions caused panic among nearby pedestrians and shopkeepers.

Duty Officer of Paltan Police Station, Sub-Inspector (SI) Al Amin, confirmed the incident, saying, “We received information about several explosions in the Gulistan Zero Point area. A police team has already been dispatched to the scene.”

He further added that it would be confirmed whether the exact location falls under their jurisdiction once the officers reach the spot and gather more details.
