The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested Munna, alias ‘Pichchi Munna’, the prime accused in the murder of Fazle Rabbi Sumon in Rayerbazar, Dhaka. He was detained on Wednesday from the Islambagh area of Chawkbazar in the capital.
The details of the arrest were shared during a press briefing held on Thursday (31 July) at the RAB Media Centre in Karwan Bazar by RAB-2 Commander Additional DIG Md Khalidul Haque Howlader.

| Same evening | Munna lured Sumon to the Rayerbazar Martyred Intellectuals’ Graveyard through a mysterious phone call. |
| Murder scene | Munna and his accomplices ambushed Sumon and brutally hacked him to death with sharp weapons. |
