National Life Insurance Disburses BDT 37.5 Crore in Claims

National Life Insurance has distributed a total of BDT 37.5 crore in insurance claims to its clients across the Greater Dhaka area. The disbursement ceremony took place on Saturday, 20 December, during the company’s annual Year-End Planning meeting at Fantasy Kingdom in Ashulia. The event witnessed the presence of key clients as well as senior company officials.

The ceremony was presided over by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Md. Kazim Uddin, while the Chairman of the company, Mr. Tafazzal Hossain, attended as the chief guest. Other distinguished participants included Additional Managing Director Khasru Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Directors Abul Kashem and Khurshid Alam Patwari, Assistant Managing Director Bahar Uddin Majumdar, Senior Executive Vice President Enamul Haque, Senior Vice President Monir Ahmed, and Takaful Central Coordinator G.M. Helal Uddin.

Approximately 5,000 development officers from Greater Dhaka attended the event, underscoring the company’s extensive network and its steadfast commitment to customer service.

Chairman Tafazzal Hossain emphasised the pivotal role of insurance in Bangladesh’s economic growth. “Insurance mobilises financial resources that, through the banking sector, are channelled into industry and commerce, generating employment and fostering development. National Life Insurance continues to play a vital role in the nation’s economic progress,” he said.

CEO Md. Kazim Uddin highlighted the company’s commitment to prompt settlement of claims, stating, “National Life prioritises timely claim disbursement for its clients. On average, we settle over BDT 100 crore in claims each month. By 2025, our total annual claims disbursement is expected to reach BDT 1,500 crore.”

The event also recognised the outstanding contributions of the company’s insurance officers through special awards. Attendees expressed optimism that customer satisfaction will rise further in 2025, alongside the expansion of insurance services to other regions of Bangladesh.
