The government has extended the term of the National Unity Commission until 15 September. The Cabinet Division issued a notification late on Monday, 11 August, officially prolonging the commission’s tenure by one month.

The commission was initially given six months to submit its report, with the deadline set for 15 August. However, the government decided to grant an additional month before that deadline.
