NCC Bank has proudly observed Financial Literacy Day 2026 with the objective of promoting financial inclusion across the nation and encouraging safe, digital, and paperless banking practices. This year’s theme, “Safe Cashless Transactions Begin with Financial Literacy”, reflects the bank’s commitment to providing responsible, technology-driven financial services while fostering secure banking habits among its customers.
The inauguration was organised by the bank’s Financial Inclusion Cell and held at the NCC Bank Head Office, with simultaneous participation from officials across all branches via the bank’s digital platform, ensuring nationwide engagement. The event brought together the bank’s top leadership, including Managing Director Mr. Shamsul Arefin, Deputy Managing Director Mr. Habibur Rahman, Senior Vice President & Chief of ICT Mr. Sajjadul Islam, Head of Financial Inclusion Cell Mr. Anisur Rahman Majumdar, and Head of Retail Banking Unit Mr. S.M. Tanvir Hasan, along with branch managers from across the country.
In his keynote address, Mr. Shamsul Arefin emphasised the critical importance of digital literacy in today’s modern financial ecosystem. He highlighted that increasing digital capability and ensuring secure transactions are fundamental to sound financial literacy. Discussing the benefits of cashless and paperless banking, he noted that these approaches enhance safety, transparency, and efficiency in financial operations.
The Managing Director also advised branch managers to actively promote the bank’s flagship digital services—NCC Always App and Bangla QR Code—to customers. He underscored the need to raise awareness about the risks associated with cash transactions and hidden costs while showcasing the convenience, security, and transparency of digital banking solutions.
The programme concluded with strategic guidance reinforcing NCC Bank’s commitment to customer-centric digital service expansion and the adoption of innovative banking practices. Through this initiative, customers are empowered, access to banking services is broadened, and the development of an integrated financial system is supported.
