Scottish music fans are in for a treat as chart-topping R&B icons Ne-Yo and Akon announce a massive world tour, with a highly anticipated stop in Glasgow. The “Nights Like This” tour promises an evening of noughties nostalgia, featuring the hits that made both artists global superstars in the early 2000s.

The European leg of the tour kicks off in Dublin on 24 April, before making its way to Glasgow on 28 April, where the duo will perform at the renowned OVO Hydro. Fans in other major cities, including Manchester, London, Paris, and Amsterdam, can also catch the show as part of a staggering 61-date schedule spanning Europe, the United States, and Canada.

The tour will see Ne-Yo perform classics such as So Sick, Closer, and Miss Independent, while Akon will bring his signature hits including Smack That, Lonely, and Right Now (Na Na Na). Together, the pair are set to deliver a memorable night of smooth vocals, infectious beats, and a nostalgic trip back to the golden era of R&B.

Tickets go on general sale on Friday, 30 January, but eager fans have multiple opportunities to secure early access. Presales are currently underway: OVO and O2 Priority presales opened at 10am this morning, while Live Nation presales begin on Thursday, 29 January at 10am. Spotify presales will follow two hours later at 12pm.

Meanwhile, fellow R&B star Jason Derulo was recently spotted in Glasgow, adding to the city’s buzzing musical atmosphere. The singer, who slipped out of the Blythswood Square Hotel unnoticed with his bodyguard, opted for a discreet grey Renault van over a luxury limousine. A team of dancers and support staff were also seen heading for rehearsals, hinting at a potential surprise performance or collaboration.
