Nemesis and Fuad & Friends to Share the Stage with Atif Aslam in Dhaka?

Renowned Pakistani singer Atif Aslam is set to return to Dhaka for another live performance. The event, organised by Main Stage, will be held on 13 December at the Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital. Along with Atif, Bangladeshi band Nemesis and Fuad & Friends will also perform on the same stage, making it a highly anticipated musical gathering.

According to the organisers, this programme is not merely a concert; it is expected to become a major celebration for young music lovers. They believe that sharing the stage with a prominent South Asian artist like Atif Aslam, alongside admired local musicians, will offer audiences a memorable musical experience.

Tickets for the concert are available exclusively on the online ticketing platform CholoGhuri. Based on the titles of Atif’s popular songs, the tickets are being sold in three categories: Duri Area (2,499 taka), Adaat Area (4,999 taka), and Pehli Nazar Area (9,999 taka). The organisers confirmed that all tickets from the Adaat category have already sold out, and they expect an audience of nearly 35,000 attendees.

Furthermore, a portion of the ticket sales, channelled through the Private University Students’ Alliance of Bangladesh, will be donated to support those injured or the families of individuals who lost their lives during the July movement.

However, despite adequate preparation, uncertainty surrounds the event due to recent cancellations of several concerts featuring foreign artists. In November and December, different organisers had planned around six concerts with both local and international performers. But many had to be postponed, with three concerts already officially cancelled due to security concerns and a lack of administrative approval.

Last week rumours emerged that Atif’s concert might also be cancelled. Nevertheless, Main Stage reassured fans that it will proceed on schedule. They stated that they are working closely with the relevant government departments to ensure that the event is organised following proper procedures and security measures. They remain confident that authorities will extend full cooperation to support this positive youth initiative.
