Denmark – Friday – One person was killed and several others sustained injuries in Denmark on Friday after a train collided with a farm vehicle, police reported.
The accident occurred near Bjerndrup, in the southwest of the country, according to a statement released by local authorities.

Police spokesperson Gert Bisgaard told journalists that the collision occurred at a railway crossing which was unmarked and lacked barriers. The national rail agency, Banedanmark, confirmed on social media platform X that the crash happened at this crossing.
The train was operated by DSB, Denmark’s national rail service. Officials noted that none of the 25 school pupils on board sustained serious injuries. A statement from Sonderborg town officials said: “None of the pupils have been seriously injured. But they are shocked, of course.”
Local media reported that at least two train carriages were derailed as a result of the collision.
The incident has prompted renewed calls for improved safety measures at rural railway crossings, particularly those without barriers or signage, to prevent similar accidents in the future.
