At Pachchor Gol Chottor on the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway in Shibchar, Madaripur, Shibchar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Shaikha Sultana conducted a special mobile court operation.
On Tuesday (November 11) evening, the operation imposed a total fine of 55,000 taka on two trucks and 15 motorcycles. Additionally, during a raid on two Noah vehicles, 2 shotguns with 20 rounds were seized.
During the operation, vehicle documents were verified, and fines were imposed through the mobile court to maintain order.
Shibchar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Shaikha Sultana stated, “This operation was conducted to ensure public movement is not obstructed and to maintain discipline on the road. Due to legal violations, 2 shotguns and 20 rounds of ammunition were seized from a Noah vehicle and sent to Shibchar police station. Such operations will continue regularly in the future.”
Shibchar police officer-in-charge Rokibul Islam said, “The seized shotguns and ammunition have been sent to the police station. Legal action will be taken after license verification. The shotguns and ammunition were seized due to violation of regulations.”
Law enforcement personnel were also present during the operation. After the operation, awareness messages were distributed among pedestrians.
