Passenger Bus Set on Fire on Dhaka–Tangail Highway at Midnight

In the Baikhola area of the Dhaka–Tangail highway, miscreants set fire to a passenger bus. The incident occurred around 1 am on Wednesday (12 November).

According to police, the ‘Bangla Star’ bus traveling from Dhaka to Pabna was moving very slowly due to a road accident. During this time, miscreants set the bus on fire.

Passengers, the helper, and the driver quickly evacuated the bus. Two units of Tangail Fire Service arrived at the scene and brought the fire under control.

Senior Station Officer of Tangail Fire Service and Civil Defence, S M Humayun Karnayen, stated that the fire was controlled promptly upon receiving the report. There were no casualties, though a large portion of the bus was burnt.
