Pistol and Ammunition Marked ‘Made in India’ Seized in Jhenaidah, No Arrests

The army conducted an operation in Kaliganj, Jhenaidah, and recovered a pistol, ammunition, and homemade weapons in an abandoned condition. The seized pistol bears the marking ‘Made in India’.

The operation took place late at night on Sunday (23 November) in the Sradabaria area of the upazila. No arrests were made in connection with the incident.

During the operation, a man named Masud fled the scene. From his house courtyard, the authorities recovered an Indian-made pistol, three rounds of ammunition, and two homemade weapons. Masud Hossain reportedly faces more than ten cases, including murder, across various police stations.

Confirming the incident, Kaliganj police station’s Officer-in-Charge Shafiqul Islam told the media, ‘The army recovered the weapons and ammunition in an abandoned condition during the operation late Sunday night. However, no one could be arrested in connection with the case.’
