Dhaka, 2 June: A special session of the Advisory Council was held this morning at the Office of the Chief Adviser in Tejgaon, Dhaka, where the national budget proposal for the fiscal year 2025–2026 received formal approval. The meeting, chaired by the Chief Adviser, commenced at 9:30 AM and concluded at 12:30 PM.

Later today, at 3:00 PM, Financial Adviser Mr. Salehuddin Ahmed will present the official budget statement. Due to the absence of a national parliament, the Government has decided that this year’s budget will be broadcast simultaneously across all state and private media platforms.
