Sabotage Plot Uncovered at House of Local Weavers’ Party Leader?

A leader of the ruling Awami League from Chattogram, who had been in hiding for seven months, was arrested at the residence of a local Weavers’ Party (Tantī Dal) leader in Hatiya, Noakhali. The arrest has raised serious concerns after the discovery of 10 homemade explosive devices (cocktails), allegedly intended for sabotage.

The incident occurred late on the night of Wednesday, 30 July, in the village of Jorakhali, located in the Burirchar Union of Hatiya Upazila.
