Purnima Breaks Silence on Divorce Rumors

Popular Bangladeshi actress Purnima has finally spoken out amid growing rumors about her alleged separation from husband Ashfaqur Rahman Robin. The speculation began after one of her recent Facebook statuses went viral, sparking widespread discussion and conjecture among netizens.

On Saturday (October 25) afternoon, Purnima posted a detailed clarification on her verified Facebook account, tagging her husband Robin in the post.

In her statement, Purnima wrote:

“In good times, friends are never in short supply. Most of them are opportunistic and artificial, always busy pursuing their own interests. But during hard times, they are nowhere to be found! My earlier post was meant to highlight this reality. It was inspired by the things that happen around every individual, myself included. At the end of the day, I’m human too, with people close and distant in my life.”

She continued:

“That’s why I’ve had to deal with fair-weather friends and selfish individuals as well. Unfortunately, some people misunderstood parts of my post and linked it to my personal life! As a result, a few online news outlets published sensational headlines without verifying the facts, which deeply hurt me and my family.”

Clarifying the matter once and for all, Purnima added:

“My Facebook post had no connection whatsoever to my family life. By the grace of Almighty, our family and married life are doing perfectly well. Throughout my long career, I have received endless love from people both at home and abroad, as well as support from journalists. I hope to continue receiving that love in the future. Thank you.”

Following her clarification, many social media users believe that Purnima’s statement has finally put an end to the divorce rumors surrounding her and Robin.
