Pussycat Dolls Explain Reunion Line-Up Choices

The Pussycat Dolls have addressed controversy surrounding the exclusion of some original members from their forthcoming reunion tour, explaining that the decision was made to “protect our peace.”

Earlier this month, the iconic girl group announced that they would reunite as a trio—Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt—to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut album PCD.

Original member Carmit Bachar, who performed alongside Scherzinger, Roberts, Wyatt, Jessica Sutta, and Melody Thornton in the group’s early line-up, revealed she was not invited to participate. She stated that she discovered the reunion plans “at the same time as the public” and expressed disappointment, noting that she would have appreciated direct communication “given [her] history with the brand.”

In response, Scherzinger, Wyatt, and Roberts spoke during an interview on the Today Show. Scherzinger initially hesitated, saying: “Well, I mean, listen. We are just, so, as women today …”

Wyatt added, “It has been an ever-changing line-up, and this is what it looks like now in 2026. You never know what comes next. Ultimately, we’ve got to protect our peace, and when something like The Pussycat Dolls has so much history… we have ruptured in the past, and right now we are repairing, and we’re sort of on the same page with that.”

Scherzinger concluded: “But what I wanted to say is, we have so much love and respect for all of the women that have been part of the PCD legacy. Once a Doll, always a Doll.”

The group’s reunion tour will span North America, the UK, and Ireland, featuring 53 dates in total. Lil’ Kim and Mya will join the North American leg, with Lil’ Kim supporting the UK and Ireland shows.

Region Dates Cities / Venues
North America June–August 2026 44 dates including New York, Los Angeles, Toronto
UK & Ireland September–October 2026 Birmingham, Nottingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Dublin, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, London O2 Arena (Oct 13)

Tickets go on general sale at 10am local time on Friday, 20 March, with pre-sale registration closing Monday, 16 March.

In addition, the Dolls released a new single, ‘Club Song’, their first original track since 2019’s React. Produced by Mike Sabbath and co-written by Scherzinger, Sabbath, Caroline Ailin, and Solly, the single marks a fresh creative direction for the group.

Fans can also look forward to a deluxe edition of their 2005 debut album, PCD, which will feature unreleased tracks and is set for release on 8 May across vinyl and digital formats.

The reunion, first announced in 2019, was delayed by COVID-19 and legal disputes. Scherzinger told BBC News that the timing finally “aligned,” while Roberts credited Scherzinger for initiating the reunion conversations. Roberts added with enthusiasm: “I’m just really excited to get back on stage and swing these hips around in some latex, hun!”
