The nomination paper distribution for the Rajshahi University Central Students’ Union (RACSU), along with hall unions and senate student representative elections 2025, has been suspended.
On Tuesday, 19 August, at around 11:30 pm, the university made the announcement via its official Facebook page.
According to the circular signed by Professor Md Amjad Hossain, Chief Election Commissioner of RACSU, the nomination distribution scheduled for 20 August has been halted due to unavoidable circumstances. The notice further stated that new instructions regarding the process will be communicated in due course through official announcements.

The Rajshahi University Central Students’ Union was first established in 1962. However, the last election was held in 1989. After a long gap of 35 years, and following persistent student movements, the university authorities have finally taken the initiative to hold the RACSU elections once again.
