‘Raghu Dakat’ Dominates the Box Office

Deb’s latest film, Raghu Dakat, is making waves at the box office. Released during this year’s Durga Puja festival, the film has been performing with remarkable momentum, surpassing its closest competitor, Raktbeej 2, in popularity.

Although the production house has yet to officially release revenue figures, Mahendra Soni, one of the producers from SVF Films, confirmed via Twitter that Raghu Dakat has crossed the ₹10 crore milestone. Soni, who is also a co-producer of the film, tweeted: “Excited for Dev Day tomorrow — Megastar for a special reason.”

This announcement, however, sparked debate on social media. Some fans have criticised the figure, jokingly suggesting that it might have been inflated.

According to Sanklick statistics, the film has earned ₹7.55 crore in just 12 days at the Indian box office. While it remains competitive with Raktbeej 2 at multiplexes, Raghu Dakat has clearly taken the lead in single-screen theatres.

Deb’s prior films, Khadaan and Dhumketu, were both commercial hits. With Raghu Dakat, fans are now anticipating what has been dubbed a “Deb Tsunami”. If the film crosses the ₹25 crore mark, it would represent a major milestone in Deb’s career.

Fans are already voicing a new demand: they hope that Deb and SVF bring the third installment of Chander Pahar, eager to witness their favourite character Shankar on another adventure.

Additionally, Deb’s highly anticipated film Projapoti 2 is set to release this December, following the festive season.
