Rashedur Rahman Crowned Champion at DRU Chess Tournament

Dhaka, Wednesday — Rashedur Rahman of Bangladesh Pratidin has emerged as the champion in the chess competition of the Vista–Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) Sports Festival, held at the Chess Federation Hall Room.

The event, organised under the banner of Dhaka Reporters Unity with the support of Vista, showcased spirited participation from media professionals across various news outlets.

The chess event was conducted by DRU Sports Secretary Mojibur Rahman, who oversaw the tournament proceedings.

Gazi Anwar, Vice President of DRU, and Mainul Hasan Sohel, the organisation’s General Secretary, were also present, commending the participants for their enthusiasm and sportsmanship.

The competition forms part of the annual DRU Sports Festival, which aims to foster camaraderie, strategic thinking, and healthy competition among members of the journalism fraternity.
