Record Dengue Deaths in a Single Day: 12 Fatalities Reported

In the past 24 hours, 12 people have died from dengue, marking the highest single-day death toll from the disease this year. Among them, Barishal Division reported the most deaths with five fatalities. Simultaneously, between 8:00 am on Saturday and 8:00 am on Sunday, 740 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country, including Dhaka, due to dengue infection.

This information was released on Sunday, 21 September, by the Health Emergency Operations Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
