Remittance Inflow Increases by 33.6% in First 27 Days of July

The inflow of remittances to Bangladesh has experienced a substantial year-on-year increase of 33.6%, reaching USD 2,099 million in the first 27 days of July, according to the latest figures released by Bangladesh Bank (BB).

This marks a significant rise from the USD 1,572 million received during the same period in July of the previous year.

Record-Breaking Fiscal Year for Remittances

Expatriate Bangladeshis have sent a record-breaking USD 30.33 billion in remittances during the 2024–2025 fiscal year (FY25), marking the highest ever annual remittance inflow in the nation’s history.

This remarkable achievement represents a 26.80% increase from the USD 23.91 billion received in the 2023–2024 fiscal year (FY24).
