Pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter has once again pushed the boundaries of creativity with a delightfully whimsical Super Bowl commercial. On 8 February, during the broadcast of Super Bowl LIX, Carpenter starred in a standout advertisement for Pringles, introducing audiences to the eccentric character “Pringlio” — a man entirely made of Pringles chips. Infusing the spot with her signature wit, Carpenter quipped, “I’m not interested in boys at all,” adding a playful twist to the narrative.
The commercial immerses viewers in a vivid, humorous world where Carpenter and Pringlio engage in a series of amusing and unexpected encounters. From a romantic dinner and kite flying to a stadium kiss-cam moment and the exuberant energy of a live concert, each scene adds layers of lighthearted surrealism. The climactic sequence features Pringlio standing amid the concert crowd, heightening both the comedy and the fantastical nature of the storyline.
The 30-second broadcast version premiered on NBC during the Super Bowl, while an extended cut is available online. The campaign was directed by Vania Heyman and Gal Mugia, who previously collaborated with Carpenter on her music video for Manchild.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Carpenter reflected on the experience:
“Working alongside a man made entirely of Pringles was completely new. Reuniting with Vania and Gal was wonderful — their creativity, combined with the Pringles team, helped us craft a commercial that’s both playful and hilarious.”
She added:
“It was important for me to retain my authentic brand. I wanted to create something unconventional, yet humorous, that genuinely reflects my personality.”
Beyond advertising, Carpenter remains a dynamic presence in entertainment. She recently performed Manchild at the Grammys, featuring a high-energy airport-themed dance in a pilot’s uniform atop a luggage conveyor belt. Additionally, she joined the revival of The Muppet Show, performing Islands in the Stream alongside Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, paired with a Muppet chicken in a delightful duet.
