Seven-Day Tree Plantation Campaign and Fair Begins in Tangail

A seven-day Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair commenced today in Tangail district, under the inspiring slogan:
“Let’s do planned afforestation, build a green Bangladesh.”

The event has been jointly organised by the District Administration and the Forest Department, aiming to raise public awareness on the importance of afforestation and environmental sustainability.

Inauguration Ceremony

The campaign was formally inaugurated at Shaheed Smriti Municipal Park this morning by Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque.

Prior to the opening, a colourful procession was brought out from the Deputy Commissioner’s office, drawing attention to the importance of planned and conscious tree plantation.

The campaign aims to encourage public participation in building a greener and more sustainable Bangladesh by promoting scientific and organised afforestation practices.
